The Chinese aluminum tube industry is accelerating towards a new manufacturing paradigm of 'data-driven, intelligent collaboration' under the empowerment of 5G, with a core path focusing on three major breakthroughs: real-time perception of the entire chain, AI quality inspection closed-loop, and digital twin decision-making. Relying on the 5G industrial private network, China Aluminum Group Baotou Aluminum Industry has built a national level 5G fully connected factory, achieving millisecond level data transmission of over 10000 equipment points in melting, extrusion, heat treatment and other processes, and building an intelligent control system of 'one platform, three full processes'. The equipment networking rate has been increased to 86%, and energy consumption has been reduced by more than 10%. At the quality inspection end, companies such as Nannan Aluminum Processing and Jianmei Aluminum Profile have deployed 5G+AI vision systems to identify defects such as scratches and dents on the surface of aluminum tubes at the micrometer level, with a detection rate of over 97% and a 90% decrease in misjudgment rate, replacing traditional manual inspections. On the operation and maintenance side, Qingtongxia Aluminum and Shenyang Aluminum Magnesium have taken the lead in implementing 5G 'black light factories' and digital twin models for the entire plant, predicting equipment failures through virtual simulation and reducing unplanned downtime by 35%. Nanshan Aluminum provides high-purity aluminum heat dissipation materials for Huawei's 5G base stations, deeply embedded in the communication equipment supply chain. The group standard Guide to the Construction of 5G Fully Connected Intelligent Factory in Electrolytic Aluminum Industry has been released, which clarifies the data collection density and edge computing deployment specifications, and promotes the standardized output of the industry. At present, the bottleneck lies in the insufficient localization rate of high-precision sensor chips, but the 5G+AI integration scheme has covered more than 70% of the production lines of leading enterprises, and the technical standards are accelerating to export to the 'the Belt and Road' market.
